Five Yoga Poses for Strengthening the Core Hey all, you will be glad to know that beach season is approaching.  You might even enjoy thinking that now is the time to wear those sultry swimsuits,  which were feeling dead in those closets.  Yes, you might even strive for a great body and six pack abs, but what is more  important is strengthening the core.  A strong core is multiple strong muscles, which includes pelvic muscles,  erector spine muscle and much more. Having a strong core is not only good for  the health, but also in completing those daily task activities smoothly.  So, if you have no idea of what you should do to strengthen the core, look at the five yoga poses that would fire up your core strength! Chair Pose (Utkatasana) This pose is to strengthen the legs and the core as you bend down with your weight over your heels.  Stand in Tadasana popularly known as mountain pose, which improves the balance in the body.  Follow these instructions: You need to stand erect with your hand joined together in front of your chest.  After this, inhale and raise your arms with the inside of your upper arms beside your ears and the palm facing in.  Make sure that your shoulder-width is at a distance from each other.  Now, soften the shoulder into their sockets.  While exhaling the air out, bend on your knees, to lower the thigh parallel to the floor as you sit back.  Ensure that the torso stays elongated until the coccyx reaches the floor and the crown of the head reaches away from coccyx.  Hold on for a while and again inhale to strengthen out the pose, releasing the hands down.    Boat Pose It is a most challenging pose for toughening the core. This exercise tone up your legs, arm muscles, and make you stronger than ever before. Follow these instructions: Sit on a mat and then lift your knees upwards towards the chest.  Now, balance on your sits bones.  The essential thing to pay attention is the spine. Keep it long and straight.  Slowly work upon strengthening your legs up.  If your back started to curve, try to keep your knees bent.  There is no need of keeping your legs straight.  Next, draw your belly straight.  Hold for about five complete breaths.  Then, practice the same pose for three times.   Dolphin Plank It boosts up your strength in arms, shoulders, and abdomen.  Follow these instructions: Lie straight on the floor with your face facing the floor.  From the hands and the knees, place the forearm and palm on the floor. Ensure that your elbows are right under the shoulders and your upper arms are erect. Now, walk your feet back and keep your legs and pelvis in a straight line along with the shoulders. With a slightly slow motion, draw your front ribs and the lower belly back towards the spine. Ensure your toe pads are dig into the floor for a tight grip to hold you. After this, lift the back of your skull just to keep hold of the natural curve of your neck. Now, lengthen out through the crown of your head.     Side-to-Side Dolphin Plank It not only improves balance and coordination but also reinforce the abdomen and legs Follow these instructions: First, begin with Dolphin Plank. Now, move both the feet towards left.  Press more tightly through the right forearm such that you can easily lift both the sides of your pelvis evenly. At last, lengthen through the core of your head.    Knee-To-Arm Plank It alleviates flexibility and tones your belly.  Follow these instructions: Go back to the dolphin plank again. Now, bring your right knee forward to touch the outer upper right arm in a manner that it hugs your elbow towards the center of it. Try to lift the front body towards the back body as you press back through the left heels. Balance it for one minute and keep it straight as you reach the crown. Take five deep breaths and slowly try it with another leg. So, how about trying these strengthening exercises today?  Isn’t it a great idea for building a strong core and muscles while gaining balance  in the body? Of course, it is!
